This section presently addresses only issues pertaining to manual scavenging, including judgements preceding and subsequent to the enactment of the Prohibition of Employment as Manual Scavengers and their Rehabilitation Act, 2013.

It will be revised and updated with the Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe (Prevention of Atrocities) Act, 1989, and any other relevant laws, in the next phase of editing of the Resource.
